What sets Detroit Beer Company apart is its diverse menu that caters to various tastes, including limited vegetarian options. Customers like 'Hailee B.' rave about the happy hour deals and must-have dishes like the wings and nachos. For those attending sporting events in Detroit, 'Heather L.' recommends DBC for its great sports bar atmosphere and group-friendly setting.
Personally, I enjoyed the laid-back vibe and friendly bartenders who served up tasty brews. The Short Rib Tacos had a kick of spice that was balanced out by the crispy and flavorful fries. While service may have been a bit slow at times, the overall experience at Detroit Beer Company was pleasant and worth a return visit.
“ Happy hour is amazing! Half off apps, the wings are to die for and the nachos we had were good as well. ”
“ Have been to DBC a couple times before sporting events in Detroit. Whether you are attending or just watching it's a great sports bar with typical sports bar food. It is good for larger groups which is nice. ”
“ We went to Detroit Beer Company before tonight's Tigers playoff clinching win. Sat at the bar and received awesome service from Bill. Fun personality and quick to get you whatever you need. Food and drinks were great. I had the wings and they were terrific. My wife had nachos which were also great. Happy hour pricing Monday-Friday from 4-6 as well. We will definitely return soon! ”
“ Brew was tasty. Good vibe inside. Laid back. Next time I'll try the food. The bartenders were very friendly. ”
“ We went to the Detroit Opera House to get tickets for a show. We asked the clerk which restaurant he'd recommend, and he said Detroit Beer Company, even though (or because?) it's across the street. It was a lovely day, so we sat outside. There were maybe 4 occupied tables at a time. There seemed to be only one server, so service was a bit slow, but she was very kind and was doing the best she could. I don't know if there were any seated parties inside. I ordered the short rib tacos. I always expect tacos to be in hard corn shells but they're almost always in soft flour shells.(I guess the menu did state that they were flour tortillas, but somehow, I managed to miss that.) They were tasty but too spicy for me. Fortunately, my sister ordered a Cuban sandwich with fries, so there was ketchup on the table. That calmed down the spice enough for me to eat them. And those fries! Man, they were good! Super crispy and potatoey. If I were to come here again, though, I would order something less spicy; they had lots of options, but I wasn't in the mood for many of them. ”
“ Saturday afternoon- here is what we liked. * Immediate seating at the bar and anywhere. * Sitting at the bar- friendly- cool vibe. * Beer * Pretzel was warm, crusty on the exterior and soft and chewy inside. Quite good What could be better: * the beer cheese soup is the same as the beer cheese you get with the pretzel. While good- just needed something. The soup could have been hotter. ”
“ We stopped in for dinner and some beer after visiting down town Detroit for the Christmas festivities. The food here was very good as everyone liked the meal and I thought the beers were very good as well, i ordered a flight to try several and wasn't disappointed. The only knock was getting our drinks in a timely manner, I waited for 10 minutes for my 1st drink, as I seen it sitting on the bar for awhile, our server never came and grabbed it. My second beer I went and got on the counter myself. ”
“ Was walking around and decided to drop in and grab a drink and bite. The place was a little loud but it's a bar with the game being played so it's what would one expect. We were seated and told that the only food that could be ordered was appetizers but we could order anything from the bar. As I came hoping to taste a beer or two, they offered a flight which made me happy. The waitress was patient (as I had lots of questions) and offered her opinion on what she thought we should order. We finally made our picks and it wasn't long before our drinks and food was brought to the table. So the beers were on point. Granted there were some that were enjoyed more than others but for $12 I felt like I had a nice variety of drinks for the evening. Sadly the wings, although meaty, tasted like they were cooked in the microwave as finished on the grill. I can't say I'd order them again but that's just me. If you are in the area I'd recommend that you stop in and give their beers a try. ”
“ Came downtown for a concert and stayed at the Siren, which is right next to Detroit Beer Co. We've been here a few times but this time we ate too. For starters, we shared the smoked whitefish dip and had a bowl of black bean soup. For entrees, I had the steakhouse burger and my wife had the meatball. Both were cooked perfectly. Beers are always good here, so you really can't go wrong. The service was also great, given that Detroit was getting packed because of the concert traffic. Regardless, we were able to get the last outside table at the time and our waitress never missed a beat. In situations like that, it's best to give your server the WHOLE order at once to limit their back and forth. Please come down for a nice brew and some very good food - I don't suspect you will be disappointed. ”
